DIYAutoTech is a website that is dedicated to do it yourself mechanics.

Where do you get the TSB and Recall information?

We provide technical service bulletin and recall information so that you can research common problems with your vehicle. The data is obtained from the NHTSA.

What types of topics can I post in the forums?

If you visit the forums page, you will see many different categories to choose from. The top section is for repair and maintenance questions, the next for aftermarket mods and performance, the next for questions about the DIYAutoTech site. For anything else, please post in the Off Topic category.

What are the DIYAutoTech categories for?

What will I find on the Articles page?

The articles page contains repair, maintenance, safety and other automotive tips. The articles are written by do it yourselfers just like you.

The articles are written by DIYers? Are they at least proofread first?

Each article submitted must pass moderation before it is posted on the site.

Can I submit an article?

Yes, any do it yourself can submit an article. It even counts toward your point totals, increasing your chances at winning a monthly prize.

What will I find on the Guides page?

The guides page contains detailed automotive repair guides for specific vehicles to do a specific repair job. Most repair guides also include photographs to help you complete the repair job.

The guides are written by DIYers? Are they at least proofread first?

Yes, each guide submitted must pass moderation before they are posted on the site.

Can I submit an article?

Yes! We encourage our DIYers to submit a guide for any repair job, for any vehicle. Points are even awarded, increasing your chances at winning a monthly prize.
