the motor in the drivers dorr quit. it is stuck down. we bought the manual (haynes) and the part, but cant figure out how to change it. i'm afraid to just start loosening bolts, don't want to break the glass.

it says to "remove the door glass retaining glass and allow window to rest on the bottom of the door"

thats where i'm stuck. i don't know what they mean, and there is no diagram. the rest "looks" ok enough to figure out. HELP!!

The best thing to do in this case is to take the glass out before replacing the motor. You have to be very careful not to brake it. If you can not reach glass bolts, try to remove regulator bolts and carefully lift glass and regulator to the point where you can remove glass from the regulator. Again be very carefull.
