I have always used autolab as the engine oil for my car, i just want to change it to castrol GTX, will it make a good difference and producemore power?

No, I don't think so that it makes a big difference by changing the oil. If you have noticed, on the back of teh oil containers there is a letter rating and by that you can know which ones are the latest and which ones are obsolete.

Adding to what is already said, you wont see any difference unless you use synthetic and superior air & oil filters, and even then they may not make up what is not in the engine.
