I have a 99 RAV4 with only 19k miles but when I first turn on the A/C this funny smell lasts for a minute, but after that it works fine. Any ideas anyone?

umm, I guess that there is a mold problem, you should get this checked out by a mechanic, I had the same problem and yah it just stinks like hell.

also 19k 0n 7yr old vehicle. More then once i've found dead rodents in HVAC on vehicles that have been stored for a long time
