I have a 98 s-10 that i am getting a 1404 error i have replaced the egr valve with one from dealer and replaced computer o2 sensors IAC IAT TPS sensors i have did a seafoam engine clean on the engine by sucking seafoam in thru the brake boooster vacum line let it set for 10 min. then cranked it and let it run till it quit smoking still getting error can any body help me figure it out.

forgot to specifiy engine its a 4.3 v6 with x in vin for engine type.

There is a tsb on this problem Bulletin No.: 86-65-03A and it says to verify the egr is working, check connection at egr and finally check vcm or reflash computer(vcm). I would check for vacuum leaks.
