my car just started making a horrible noise that sounds like metal on metal even when I'm standing still. WTF?

yeaaa its probably i mixture of your crank bearings and crank and your lifters .....they don't sound to good do they? there screaming for oil you most likely lost oil pressure...bad oil pump or cmp sensor...if your standing by it long enough you will have to replace your crank bearings rod bearings and maybe cam bearings and a lifter or two...depends on how long you scratched your head.
