I bought the car used. The A/C blows out warm air but I checked with the kit I bought to see if it needed freon and it said it was full. Also, the little piece where I would put A/C in if it needed it won't let the adapter piece screw onto it. I checked and saw that the top thread of the piece I need to screw onto is bent. Can I buy that little piece or is part of the whole A/C tubing? I don't know the name of it as the car manual does not show me any info about A/C. It just says to take it to a specialist but I don't have the $$ to do that. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that is going to be part of the A/C tubing and cannot be replaced separately. How were you able to get a reading if the thread was damaged?
