I recently bought this vehicle to get me by in the meantime. I was told there was 2 windows (the rear drivers side & the front passenger) that do not operate at all. Yesterday, the front drivers side window would not go back up after rolling it down. On the drivers side thre are two windows (Big main window & small triangular shaped window) in which are controlled by the same switch. I was able to have one person push on the control switch, while I had my hands on both sides of the window to "push" the big main window back up. The triangular window will not go up & I cannot access much of the window to try and do the same as i did with the other window. When you press on the button you can hear the motor clicking (loudly). The window doesnt go anywhere though.

I have been able to pull back the top part of the door panel. But in fear of breaking the door panel & damaging any wiring I did not remove the panel. Trying to figure out a solution, so I dont have to leave my window open all the time. I live in a VERY high car theft area & dont want to make my car inviting to any thieves. I need a quick fix to this.

Hi, It sounds like the most probable cause with the big passenger side window is a worn motor and or tight window mechanism. A new window regulator motor is available on ebay for $37.23 including shipping. Installation will require door panel removal. The door pull/armrest must be removed as well as the retainer clips around the perimeter of the panel. You will probably need a clip removal tool that slips between the door and the clip to avoid damaging the panel.
Not to scare you, but be aware that there is often a spring that assists in lifting the window that is potentially dangerous if released. The motor itself is probably retained with a few bolts. The window should be fully up and taped there when the window is removed to prevent it from falling and breaking or injuring you. While the window regulator is out you might check that the window moves freely in its track and grease the rollers and pivot points in the window mechanism. The smaller triangular window sounds like the motor is working with stripped gears being the problem. The cheapest solution would be junk yard replacement parts after you remove it to see what is broken. I hope this will help. Good luck on your project.
